Citygate Global sets to mark a memorable 10th year anniversary

Citygate Global has earmarked several activities to celebrate her 10th year anniversary programmes scheduled for this end of year yuletide.

The company which was founded in June 2007 as a Microfinance Institution, offering lending products to small & medium sized organisations as well as to individuals, has within ten years of operations provided employment for more than 200 graduates in her outlets spread across the country. In 2014 the company budded a subsidiary, called Empire Trust Microfinance Bank, a full-fledged deposit & micro lending financial organization incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in same year.

On the 10th year anniversary celebrations of Citygate Global, the erstwhile pioneer Managing Director of the company said “The theme for the anniversary is Celebrating and Appreciating our Microfinance World Since 2007. The anniversary is a week-long array of activities starting on the 26th November 2017 with a thanksgiving service while there will also be a Customer Service Week through the week at our branch outlets dedicated to all our customers, of which the Wednesday 29th November 2017 will be key to entertaining customers at each of the branches. In the same week, the 10th year activity will see Citygate Global staff visit some markets within the catchment areas of our branches in order to undertake a thorough cleaning of the markets. The anniversary activities will then culminate in a Celebration Gala Event at the prestigious NECA Event Center located at Ikeja on the 2nd December, 2017." Mr Durojaye noted.

Many special dignitaries from all works of life, including from the royal kingdoms, corporate regulatory bodies, financial & manufacturing sectors, as well as esteemed customers of the organization are expected to grace the Anniversary events.

Citygate Global is a member of the Association of Microfinance Institution of Nigeria. The company which was created with the objective to reduce Nigerian population living below poverty line by intervening and enhancing the capacities of the low-end actively engaged populace struggling to run viable businesses, offers lending products to all forms of low & growing income segments of the society. The organization whose headquarter is based in Lagos, has her activities geared in line with the global initiative of poverty alleviation and financial inclusion to all.

Social responsibility to her stakeholders and community is beginning to assume a notable strategy of the rising micro lending organisation, Citygate Global, so says the erstwhile pioneer Managing Director (MD) of the company, Mr Seun Durojaye, as the firm celebrates her 10th year of doing business in Nigeria. In 2014, the company budded a fully-fledged bank & micro lending subsidiary, called Empire Trust Microfinance Bank, as incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Further to her participation in giving back and being socially responsible to her communities, Citygate Global has renovated four blocks of classrooms at the Anglican Comprehensive High School, Ikoto, in Odo-ogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State. Speaking at the commissioning of the classrooms in recent times, the Executive Director of Citygate Global, Mrs Anuoluwa Durojaye, said “We at Citygate Global believe in education and youth development, because they are the glory of our tomorrow. By the renovation of these blocks of classrooms with befitting modern facility, the students will be at par with their peers in the big cities like Lagos and they will be further empowered to excel in both their studies and other aspects of life.” The Head Teacher & Principal of the School, who was full of praises for Citygate Global’s initiatives said “the SS1 to SS3 students affected with the improved classroom and facilities will almost certainly come out better in their WAEC exams, because this serves as unique motivation. It has never been done around here.”

While at a session with the press, recently in Lagos, Mrs Durojaye further stated “The theme of our 10th year anniversary is Celebrating and Appreciating our Microfinance World Since 2007. Further to reinforcing our organisation’s corporate social responsibility strategy, we will in the same week, with our staff visit select markets within the catchment areas of our branches to undertake a thorough cleaning of the markets. As we continue to serve by empowering our customers and people in the coming years, Citygate Global will do more in bringing smiles to the faces of our community people through various give backs” The ED concluded.
